Stephen Prothero and the Dalai Lama: Just who’s “wrong” here?
Recently on our Facebook page we pointed you to “The Dalai Lama is Wrong,” a post that BU religion professor Stephen Prothero wrote for CNN’s new Belief blog, tied to his new book, God Is Not One. Many of you were not so convinced that it was the Dalai Lama who was “wrong,” but Prothero himself.
After an appearance last night on The Colbert Report, more are likely to wonder about the author’s line of reasoning. Is his approach to Buddhism — and all the world’s religions — helpful, or not?
