Wisdom has recently reprinted the classic, The Middle Length Discourses of the Buddha: A Translation of the Majjhima Nikaya.
In this new printing we have lowered the price from $65.00 to $49.95. The book remains in its hardcover format.
The 152 discourses of this major collection combine a rich variety of contextual settings with deep and comprehensive teachings that illuminate the suttas of the Pali Canon.Winner of the 1995 Choice Magazine Outstanding Academic Book Award, and the Tricycle Prize for Excellence in Buddhist Publishing for Dharma Discourse.
It would be good to see a paper back edition which is even more affordable!
Any news on the Aṅguttara Nikāya?
Hi Jayarava,
We are moving closer to getting the Anguttara ready.
We will post something here as soon as we can.
Very exciting! I love the Wisdom sutta editions. The Saṃyutta is my constant companion!
I’d like to see a more durable, portable edition of “In the Buddha’s Words: An Anthology of Discourses from the Pali Canon.” I treat that book as my Bible.
So how does one order this?
(I’m new – just came across your site via a Shambhala Sun / Buddhist Channel link.)
It can be ordered on the Wisdom website. Or from most any bookseller.
